The International Cinema School Meeting is a space for the discovery of new creators and the discussion of different visions and teaching methods in the field.

This meeting takes place annually at the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival.

Until now it has only featured European schools, but this year one of the most prestigious film schools in the world - the Tisch School of The Arts, New York (USA), will also be a part of the Meeting.

Students and professors from some of the most renowned film schools will be in attendance, each school presenting their most representative works. After the screenings each project will be discussed and analysed by an international jury composed of some of the art world’s greatest figures.

The award consists in the nation-wide distribution of the project, ensured by Leopardo Filmes. The winning shorts will be screened again on the last day of the festival in the sessions dedicated to the laureates.

Along with the screening of the students’ short films, there will also be a debate moderated by Graça Castanheira.

A Leffest’16 initiative which promotes an important and continuous stimulus to cinematographic creation.
