The Lions of Venice are the gateway to another memorable edition of LEFFEST. The Room Next Door and The Brutalist are the opening films of LEFFEST'24 and will be screened, simultaneously, at the Tivoli Theatre and São Jorge Cinema, respectively.
The Room Next Door won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and is Pedro Almodóvar's first English-language film. It features performances from Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton, who together form a magnetic duo, resulting in a work that is a real feast for the eyes, celebrating the magic of life while we have the privilege of living it.
For his part, director Brady Corbet of The Brutalist, which won the Silver Lion in Venice, will be present at the festival. Starring Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones, it's a hopeful and dark film that offers a detailed view of post-war America, weighed down by its traumatic past.
Films schedules and tickets for the films will be available from 25th October.
