Parents and teachers gone and in their absence, two boys and a girl - Rui, Nuno, and Rita - form a love triangle. They navigate three different spaces and times to find solitude: A football match, a pool party, the beach… The balance between them is unstable, each being too attached to the triangle. In that suspended time, gestures, communication, and language falter. The powerlessness of each member stems from an inability to structure feelings and finding words to express them. Questions arise: Does Rui love Rita, Nuno, or simply the game? Is Nuno in love with Rita, or is he dependent on Rui? And does Rita, the passive holder of the game, love anyone at all? All we know is that she closes her eyes, retreating into an ethereal inner world, where clouds become reality, though they too are suspended, caught in an indefinite interval.
