Blackout in Rome

The film unfolds during the months that proceed the definite liberation of Rome from the Allies, along with the escape of three soldiers: an American pilot, a Russian sergeant and a British major. It is the story of solidarity, self-denial and sacrifice, which marks the last return of Rossellini to Italy during the Second World War.
