Arabian Nights, Volume 2 – The Desolate One

In a Portugal mired in crisis, a director, unable to find meaning in his work, cowardly retreats and leaves the beautiful Scheherazade to take over. Each night, Scheherazade tells the King unfinished stories, promising to continue them the next evening, thereby defying his vow to execute his new wives after their wedding night. In this second volume, Scheherazade describes how desolation invaded men: “It has reached me, O auspicious King, that a troubled judge will weep instead of passing her sentence on a night when all three moons align…” And as dawn arrives, Scheherazade falls silent.
