Artistic creation is a singular and unrepeatable act, a burst of light, with its disunited, autonomous, inconclusive beauty (paraphrasing the poet Herberto Helder). Could A.I. change the ways of making and seeing art? On the 17th, 18th and 19th of November, at the Lisbon Academy of Sciences, we´ll exchange ideas on the subject, free entrance for all the events.
After the opening, on November 17, with a concert by the Gidon Kremer Trio, in which violinist Gidon Kremer, pianist Georgijs Osokins and cellist Giedre Dirvanaukaite perform pieces by several contemporary composers, the philosopher, José Gil, will open a debate with writers Rachel Kushner, Dana Vachon and Rui Cardoso Martins.
On the second day, November 18, starting at 3pm, the discussion panel will feature the participation of directors Edgar Pêra and Olmo Schnabel, artist and director, Gabriel Abrantes, and photographer, André Cepeda.
In the closing session of these conversations, which will take place on Sunday, November 19, at 11 am, the first intervention will be made by the writer and philosopher, Maria Filomena Molder, followed by the painter João Queiroz and the university professor, Miguel Poiares Maduro.
