Estrella Araiza

Estrella Araiza is the general director of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG). She began her career as a film distributor in 2005, with the distribution company Latinofusión. In 2012, she founded her own distribution company, Vendo Cine, focusing on Mexican and Latin American cinema. She has served as a judge at various international film festivals and has collaborated with prominent film markets.

In addition to her distribution work, Araiza has implemented several initiatives, including Inclusive Industry, which aims to improve access to large-screen films for people with disabilities, and FILM Principle, which connects writers, screenwriters, publishing houses, and the film industry. In 2019, she produced the exhibition "En casa con mis monstruos" in collaboration with director Guillermo del Toro at the Museum of the Arts of the University of Guadalajara
