Yasmine Hamdan is a singer, composer, and actress, born in Lebanon in 1976. She gained recognition as a member of the duo Soapkills, one of the first independent electronic bands in the Middle East, whose legacy established Yasmine as an icon of underground music in the Arab world. After moving to Paris, she collaborated with musicians such as CocoRosie, Mirwais, and Marc Collin from the band Nouvelle Vague.
