The French-Egyptian violist Sindy Mohamed is one of the most promising young musicians of her generation. As both a soloist and chamber musician, she is a regular guest at major festivals worldwide. A prizewinner of the 2017 Anton Rubinstein International Competition and a scholarship recipient of the Ottilie Selbach Redslob Foundation, Sindy has performed as a soloist with leading international orchestras. Rolando Villazón invited her to appear in the ARTE broadcast "Stars of Tomorrow," showcasing her as a young and promising artist. As part of "Chamber Music Connects the World," an event at the Kronberg Academy, she has performed alongside world-renowned artists such as Steven Isserlis, Christian Tetzlaff, and Gidon Kremer. Since 2013, Sindy has been a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Daniel Barenboim. Following the establishment of the Barenboim-Said Akademie and the Pierre Boulez Hall in Berlin, she regularly performs as principal viola with the Boulez Ensemble under renowned conductors.
