Mais Hreish is a Palestinian flautist from Nazareth, active both as a chamber musician and orchestral player. She is a permanent member of the Galilee Orchestra and performs internationally with various orchestras and ensembles, including the Berlin Staatskapelle Akademie. Hreish has performed in renowned concert venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Konzerthaus Berlin, Berlin State Opera, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Mariinsky Theatre. She received her B.A. in classical music performance from Bard College Conservatory in New York and completed the Artist Diploma Programme at the Barenboim-Said Akademie. In addition to her career as a classical musician, Hreish is dedicated to public service and cultural diplomacy. She holds a B.A. in Human Rights from Bard College and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. She is currently the Middle East and North Africa Portfolio Manager for Save the Children Germany.
