Born in Paris in 1961. Musical studies in Piano, Singing and Composition at A.A.M. and Conservatório Nacional de 1969 a 1980. Graduated in Architecture by the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, in 1985.


Participated in several international courses and Workshops in Singing (with Max Van Egmond and Montserrat Figueras); Ancient Music (Jordi Savall), Composing and Improvisation (Constança Capdeville, Steve Lacy, Richard Teitelbaum) and Chorus Direction (Francisco d' Orey, Josep Prats, e Erwin List).


Since 1981 has directed several choral and instrumental groups. Professor of Music at Escola de Dança do Conservatório Nacional he has coordinated several workshops e seminars of Vocal Technic, Chorus Direction and Musical Entertainment. As a Composer pay attention to his musical instalation, with works created for concrete spaces - "site specific works" - : Mãe D' Água /92*; Convento dos Cardaes* and Galeria Palmira Suzo/93*; Patriarcal/94* (order: "7ª Colina/Lisboa 94") and Simposium Multimedia Açores/95 - using electroacoustic technologies and/or interactivs and of spacialization of sound.


He has also composed for Theater, Cinema and Dance. In the strictly acoustic/Concerto territory (live) composed and presented a Cantata for three soloists, Chorous and Instrumental Ensemble, with libreto of Luísa Costa Gomes, at the Encontros ACARTE - Fundação C. Gulbenkian/96.
