Louise Mieritz is a Danish actress and screenwriter born in Aarhus in 1971. She graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 1994, the year she began her professional career and co-founded the all-female satirical performance group Emma’s Dilemma. Since then, she has worked across theatre, film and television, combining acting with writing. She gained wider recognition with the television series Ditte & Louise (2015–2016), which she co-created and starred in with Ditte Hansen and which was later adapted into a feature film in 2018. Drawing on comedy and satire, her work explores gender roles and social conventions. Her film credits include Lars von Trier’s The Idiots (1998) and The Boss of It All (2006). In 2025, she made her feature directorial debut with Sult, which she also co-wrote.
