Louis Garrel, born in 1983, is a French actor, son of filmmaker Philippe Garrel and actress Brigitte Sy. He acted in two of his father’s films (Les Ministères de l’art, 1988 e Les Baisers de Secours, 1989), and was later chosen by him to star in Les Amants Réguliers, 2004, La Frontière de l’aube, 2008, Un Été Brûlant, 2011 and La Jalousie, 2013. But it was Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Dreamers (2003) that gave a significant boost to his career, which includes six films with Christophe Honoré as well. He has written and directed three short films, Mes Copains (2008), Petit Tailleur (2010) and La Règle de Trois (2011).
