Visual artist, illustrator

Khaled Jarada is a Palestinian visual artist and children’s book illustrator, born in Gaza and currently based in France. Backed by a degree in Multimedia, he has made numerous illustrations for children’s and young adult books for various publishing houses. He has been a regular presence in art exhibitions, both locally and internationally. In 2020, he was accepted for an artist residency at the Shababeek Art Center in Gaza and was awarded a grant by the French Institute for his project Pandemic Diaries. In 2021, he was selected for an artist residency at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome.

Khaled is particularly interested in Expressionism, and his works draw from figures, the study of the human body and its psychological effects, while also reflecting on broader contemporary issues.
