Australian-born Jayson Gillham began playing the piano at the age of four. He completed his degree at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music before moving to London to pursue a master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music. A winner of numerous international awards, Gillham has performed with prestigious orchestras worldwide and signed a three-disc deal with ABC Classics. He regularly collaborates with chamber ensembles such as the Goldner, Carducci, Brentano, Ruysdael, Orava, and Flinders String Quartets, and has toured with the Manchester Collective. Alongside his performing career, he teaches at several prestigious schools. Described as a ‘storyteller’ (Gramophone) and ‘the ideal romantic’ (Limelight), the Australian-British pianist is admired internationally for his moving performances and warm, communicative style.
