Isabél Zuaa is a Portuguese actress and artist. Her first artistic endeavour was in the world of dancing, with the Prata Luar group, in which she participated until she was a teenager. She studied theatre at Chapitô and later at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (ESTC). In 2010, through an ESTC exchange programme, she attended the Performing Arts course at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She made her acting debut in 2012, in Patrícia Couveiro's short film, Por Favor, Não Toques na Minha Afro, and, since then, she has acted in many other projects in the areas of cinema, television, theatre and dance. Her work has been recognised and honoured internationally, having been awarded the Guarani Prize for Brazilian Cinema in 2017, in the Female Revelation category, for her role in Marcelo Gomes' film Joaquim and, in 2020, with two Best Actress awards, from the Gramado Film Festival, for her performance in the feature film Um Animal Amarelo, by Felipe Bragança and in the short film Deserto Estrangeiro, by Davi Pretto.
