Director, screenwriter

Ghassan Salhab is a Lebanese director and screenwriter whose work examines the city of Beirut and the lasting impact of war, not only on its physical landscape but also on its collective identity. He began hiscareer with Phantom Beirut (1998), and his second film, Terra Incognita (2002),also set in Beirut, was nominated for the Un Certain Regard award at the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to his work as a director, Salhab teaches cinema in Lebanon and has published several texts and articles in various magazines. In 2011, he released the book Fragments du livre du naufrage.
