The Anchorage of Time

In Mozambique, Izidine, a young police inspector, is called to investigate a crime that occurred in an old colonial fortress that is now a nursing home. Its director, Vasto Excelêncio, has been murdered. Marta, a nurse, insists that the real investigation should focus on the true crime: what the nursing home truly represents. Izidine is confronted with an unusual fact, given that every elderly man confesses to being the murderer. Everyone has a motive, as they frequently suffered ill and violent treatment by Excelêncio. An intriguing detective story where every character considers themself guilty, contradicting the usual declared innocence in western crime fiction.
