Tales From the Hunsrück Village

This documentary arises in preparation for Heimat, Reitz’s following project, and reveals stories and legends of the Woppenroth region, in Hunsrück. Unlike the people in Heimat, the community in Tales From the Hunsrück Village chose to stay in their hometown, remaining as the region’s collective consciousness. Through a nostalgic perspective, the audience understands that, although these people’s lives continue the same, the country around them has changed.
