Reas

When Lola Arias first imagined this film, her plan was to create a major artistic production with the female inmates of a prison in Buenos Aires. However, with the outbreak of the pandemic, prison visits became impossible, and the director had to change her tactics. That’s how Reas came about: a blend of documentary and musical, where the former inmates, both cis and trans, reenact their life in prison through their memories and imagine a future for their lives, in a collective inter-artistic work marked by a multiplicity of identities. Moving, disturbing, and also entertaining.
