Rome, November 1975. Pier Paolo Pasolini, the internationally famous filmmaker, poet and writer is murdered. Pasolini is a symbol of the fight against social conformity. His writings cause scandal and his films are either persecuted or misunderstood. Pasolini is, simultaneously, an object of admiration, of suspicion and revulsion. On the last day of his life, the filmmaker meets his mother and some close friends. At night, he decides to go out. In the early hours of the following morning, he is found brutally murdered at a beach in the outskirts of Ostia, allegedly by Giuseppe Pelosi, a 17 year-old rent boy.
