Meek’s Cutoff

In 1845, three pioneer families cross the Cascade Mountains, led by the experienced guide Stephen Meek, who claims to know a shortcut. But the journey soon turns into a grueling trek across the arid plains of Oregon. Lost, their dream of a better life in the West gives way to a desperate struggle for survival. Against unforgiving landscapes and weather-beaten faces, this unconventional Western finds beauty in austerity and cruelty.
