Blue Moon

The legendary Broadway lyricist Lorenz Hart leaves a theatre and heads to Sardi’s. The day is March 31, 1943, the opening night of the musical Oklahoma!, written by his former partner Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Throughout the opening night party, Hart is confronted with the decline of his career... Capturing this singular moment, Blue Moon is a meditation on love, friendship, and art, in Richard Linklater’s tone, between lightness and melancholy.
