A multidisciplinary artist, Laurie Anderson, will mark her presence at the LEFFEST for a unique performance

Avant-garde artist, composer, musician and film director, Laurie Anderson was discovered by a larger public at the early 80s, when her single Superman made it to No. 2 on the British pop charts.

Laurie Anderson has already worked on ambitious multidisciplinary projects that included not just music but also video, projections, dances and writings. She is also a composer and instrumentalist, responsible for inventions of the instruments she uses. When it comes to cinema, there is an important mark: Home of the Brave: A film by Laurie Andreson (1986), a film concert that was recorded during her tour for the "Mister Heartbreak" album, when the artist is both director and participant.

As a composer, she contributed to soundtracks of films, directed by Wim Wenders and Jonathan Demme. In 2015, she was invited to LEFFEST, where she presented Heart of a Dog (2015), a film directed after the death of her companion Lou Reed.
