Joana Lourenço films Felipe Oliveira Baptista at the Convento dos Capuchos, providing a glimpse into a practice that is generally solitary and removed from external observation. The camera captures Felipe’s strokes and gestures as he successively paints a new fresco on three slate tiles placed in the convent garden. Joana relies solely on observation, without narration, resulting in a documentation amidst simultaneous creation.
