Based on a play by Peter Handke, Philip Glass's opera, The Lost, opened in 2013 at the Landestheater Linz, Austria. An opera in which the musician and composer assembled a renowned creative team (libretto by Rainer Mennicken, stage direction by David Pountney, choreography by Amir Hosseinpour, and the Bruckner Orchester Linz under the direction of conductor Dennis Russell Davies). The Lost combines music, theater, and dance with video and film.
