The LEFFEST – Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival’17 presents, in a special session, Alain
Planès, Turbulent Infinity, a film by Solrey, followed by an Alain Planès concert.
On November 24, at Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval (Sintra).
A piano virtuoso, drawn as much to the classical as to the contemporary repertoires, passionate for painting and poetry, Alain Planès is the pivotal figure in Turbulent Infinity, a film written and directed by violinist and filmmaker Dominique Lemonnier, known as Solrey. An intimate and humanist portrait of a versatile artist, Turbulent Infinity reveals the sources of inspiration and the key encounters of a life (Miró, Boulez, Pressler, Serkin…), also woven with the ties and correspondences that music summons in the different disciplines that fascinate Alain Planès.
The screening will be followed by an Alain Planès concert, with a program that mirrors
the film, as diverse as its character, which will interpret Stockhausen, Schubert and
Chostakovitch.
