One of the most anticipated screenings of this edition of LEFFEST is the film "Poor Things" by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos (director of films such as "Dogtooth", winner of the 2009 edition of Leffest) which recently won the Golden Lion for best film, the top prize at the Venice Film Festival, presided over by director Damien Chazelle.
The film, which has won over critics and film lovers around the world, will be the opening film of the 17th edition of LEFFEST. Some parts of the movie take place on a dreamlike Lisbon with memorable performances by Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe and Ramy Youseff.
