Stephen Kovacevich

He began at age 11 and studied with Myra Hess. A pianist renowned for his interpretations of Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, and Schubert, records for EMI, including Beethoven’s 32 sonatas. Has received the Gramophone Award, Stereo Review Record of the Year, Diapason d’Or, and been nominated for the Grammys.
