Tristan Bera lives and works in Paris. He is an artist and filmmaker whose practices include critical writing, curatorship and the staging of performances. He studied Aesthetics and Contemporary History and participated, in 2015, in Bruno Latour’s experimental programme of arts and politics at Sciences Po in Paris. His visual work questions experimental philosophy, intertextuality and cinephilia through a variety of references or thanks to hybrid collaborations. His films have been screened at international film festivals including Rotterdam, London, Vila do Conde and also LEFFEST. He has performed solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums such as Haus der Kunst in Munich, Turko Art Museum in Finland, Centre Pompidou in Paris and Koyanagi Gallery in Tokyo. Since 2010, he has worked with Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster in several projects, including exhibitions, films, magazines and performances. Currently, he is responsible for the production and coordination of Le Pavillon Neuflize OBC, the Palais de Tokyo’s creative laboratory in Paris.
