Recognized as one of the most prominent pianists in improvised, experimental, and free jazz music, Rodrigo Pinheiro moves fluidly between different genres and languages. With a career spanning more than two decades, his work stands out for its contribution to the field of free improvisation, including his role in the RED Trio, alongside double bass player Hernâni Faustino and drummer Gabriel Ferrandini. At LEFFEST, he will join Rodrigo Amado and Hernâni Faustino for a cine-concert accompanying Charlie Chaplin’s films The Immigrant (1917) and The Pilgrim (1923).
