Piotr Anderszewski

One of the greatest pianists nowadays, Piotr Anderszewski is known for the intensity and originality of his renditions. He gained several awards, among them the prestigious Gilmore award, given every four years to a painist of exceptional quality. In his long discography, he has renditions of Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Chopin and Szymanowski (of whom he played a rare piece in a concert on last year’s LEFFEST). He has played with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston, Chicago and London Philharmonic Orchestras, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, among others. Bruno Monsaingeon directed two documentaries on him, Piotr Anderszewski – Voyageur Intranquile and Piotr Anderszewski Plays the Diabelli Variaitions, where he explores his particular relation with Beethoven’s opus 120.
