María Isasi is a Spanish actress nominated for a Goya Award for Best New Actress at the age of 26 for her performance in Carlos Molinero's Salvajes (2001). The film, starring her mother Marisa Paredes, addresses the issue of migrants in the Mediterranean, which that same year won the Goya Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. With a career divided between film, television, and theater, María Isasi's talent has earned her awards in all these areas of acting. On stage, her highlight is the Ojo Crítico Award, given by Radio Nacional de España (RNE), which in 2010 recognized her performance in the play Todos eran mis hijos, a text by Arthur Miller directed by Claudio Tolcachir at the Teatro Español in Madrid; and, in the same year, she was nominated by her peers in the category of Best Television Actress at the Actors and Actresses Union Awards for her performance in the miniseries Días sin Luz. María Isasi arrives at LEFFEST as a guest at the tribute to Marisa Paredes.
