Katarzyna Warzecha studied Film Directing at the Krzysztof Kieslowski Film School in Katowice and the Wajda School & Studio in Warsaw. She is also a Social work graduate and coordinator of the Gdańsk DocFilm Festival. Her graduation film, It’s Really Awesome (2017), was screened at numerous international festivals and won a series of awards. With We Have One Heart (2020) she won several international awards, including the Golden Hugo at the Chicago Festival (2020), and was nominated for the Grand Prize at the Vila do Conde Short Film Festival (2021). Katarzyna Warzecha is also known for Jest naprawde ekstra (2017) and Absolutni debiutanci (2023).
