Jacob Appelbaum is a doctoral student with an interest in post-quantum cryptography against targeted and mass surveillance adversaries.
His artistic and journalist contributions focus on cryptography, surveillance, and related geopolitical themes. His past work with the Tor Project and WikiLeaks led him into political exile in Europe where he has lived for the last six years as an immigrant. Some of his noteworthy artistic collaborations include the Autonomy Cube, the Panda to Panda project, and the documentary film about Edward Snowden, Citizenfour.
