A Hungarian screenwriter/director with a background in visual and conceptual arts, author of six films. Her first, My 20th Century (1989), received the Caméra d’Or award and was considered one of the 12 best Hungarian films of all time. In 2017, On Body and Soul, won the Golden Bear, the FIPRESCI and the Ecumenical Jury prizes at Berlin and it was screened out of competition at LEFFEST. This edition, Enyedi enters LEFFEST’s Competition with Stille Freundin, a film that won the FIPRESCI Award in Venice and the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Emerging Actor or Actress (Luna Wedler).
