Elena Martín Gimeno (Barcelona, 1992) is an actress, screenwriter and film director. Her directorial debut happened in 2017 with the film Júlia ist, which she also co-wrote and starred in. As an actress, she starred in Les amigues de l'Àgata (2016), Facing the Wind (2018) and Watermelon Juice (2019). Her work for television includes the direction of episodes of season 1 of Perfect Life (2019-2021), an episode of the anthology series En casa (2020) and a collaboration in the writing of Veneno (2020). Her second feature Creatura (2023) premiered at Cannes Film Festival Directors’ Fortnight and was awarded the Europa Cinemas Label for Best European Film.
