Landscape architect and professor

Aurora Carapinha is a landscape architect, holder of a PhD in Landscape Art and Techniques from the University of Évora, where she also teaches in the department of Landscape, Environment and Planning. As a researcher, she coordinates research projects at the Center of Art History and Artistic Research, focused on landscape in Portuguese culture as well its transformation over the years. Her research interests also include environmental issues, a theme which she frequently approaches in collaboration with Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
