Polish director Andrzej Żuławski (1940) studied cinema in France and his directing career was divided between the two countries, partly as a consequence of the problems he faced in his home country – his second film, Diabel, was banned in Poland. Famous for his violent and controversial art-house films, he has worked with such actresses as Romy Schneider, Isabelle Adjani or Sophie Marceau. Last year, the LEFFEST presented a rare retrospective of his unique work. This year, Zulawski returns to present his latest film, Cosmos.
