Alexander Öhrstrand was born in 1978 in Malmö, Sweden. Actor and writer, he became known for the award-winning series Wallander (2015) and Bron: The Bridge (2011). In Paradise is Burning (2023), in addition to being part of the main cast, he co-wrote the screenplay together with director Mika Gustafson, nominated for the Best Screenplay Award at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, where the film received the Best Screenplay Award Realization in the Horizons section.
