Yol is a harsh portrayal of Turkish reality from the stories of five prisoners who are released to visit their homes for a week. Each one will find a different scenario, but the conclusion they will reach will be the same: nothing remains the same.

This film represents the violence of the Turkish society and regime through the various relationships of the characters, in family, in society, with women, and, above all, shows the annihilation of the Kurdish people by Turkey.
