Van Gogh rents a room in Auvers sur Oise, where Doctor Gachet owns a house. There, he paints and starts a relationship with Marguerite, but his terrible moods, his aggressiveness and his arguments with his brother Théo undermine his existence. Van Gogh paints with no hope of recognition, already lost.
