Urchin

The story follows Mike, a rough sleeper trapped in a cycle of self-destruction as he attempts to turn his life around in a London of second chances. Raw and absurd, Urchin reveals the strange patterns that keep pulling us back. This is the first feature film directed by the actor known for Triangle of Sadness and Babygirl.

Harris Dickinson

Born in Leytonstone, East London, in 1996, Harris Dickinson once dreamed of becoming a marine, but soon decided to pursue a career as an actor. As a teenager, he attended the Raw Academy theatre club in Walthamstow, and at 18 made his stage debut in Angels, written by actress Pauline McLynn. He also trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and in 2017 his performance in Beach Rats earned him a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead. He has since played a prince in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and an American football player in Where the Crawdads Sing, but among his most acclaimed works are Triangle of Sadness, nominated for three Oscars and winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes, and Babygirl, in which he starred opposite Nicole Kidman. Beyond acting, Harris Dickinson has explored directing and screenwriting through several short films, a path that culminated in Urchin, his first feature film, awarded the FIPRESCI Prize at Cannes.
