Broken down into several slow and seemingly disconnected tableaux, A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence loosely follows two travelling salesmen who live in a desolate flophouse and unsuccessfully attempt to win customers for their joke articles: vampire teeth, laughing bags, a monster mask, among others. A peculiar look at the fragility of life and the inevitable anticipation of death, the third film in Roy Andersson's "Living" trilogy was awarded the Golden Lion in Venice in 2014.
