Torrents of Spring

In 1840, Dimitri Sanin, a young Russian noble, sentimental but weak, falls head over heals in love with a young Italian girl. They decide to get married, and Dimitri goes back to Russia to sell his family estate. He falls prey to a seductive Russian countess. He eventually finds himself alone. Many years later, broken by his experience, and old man wanders about the streets of Venice, haunted by his memories.
