Agnes, a teacher, travels to Berlin to identify the body of a girl who could be Lydia, her teenage daughter who had run away from home. Upon arriving, she realises that the corpse is not Lydia’s, but decides to stay in the city, in an incessant search for her whereabouts. That's when she meets Ines, a homeless woman, who insists on imposing her presence. In her fourth feature film, Maria Speth gives centre stage to female characters so as to revive a reflection about women’s relationship with themselves, as well as with the expectations imposed by their social role - which they may either fulfil or fail.
