Paris, the 1930s. During the Nazi occupation, journalist Jean Luchaire and his daughter Corinne, a rising film star, are drawn into the orbit of the German elite through a friendship with the German ambassador. By observing the use of the newspaper as a vehicle for spreading antisemitism and the young woman’s presence at embassy parties, Xavier Giannoli captures the seduction of power.
