Low-budget thriller with experimental undertones, in which a drifter (played by musician Viktor Tsoi, local cult figure) arrives in the city of Alma-Ata to collect a debt. With nowhere to stay, he turns to his ex-girlfriend, but discovers that she is addicted to morphine. In trying to help her, he comes up against a mafia and a sinister doctor. The film kicks off a new wave of cinema in Kazakhstan, shortly before the dissolution of the USSR.
