Spider

Adapted from Patrick McGrath's novel, Spider follows a schizophrenic man returning to the London neighborhood where he grew up after decades in a psychiatric institution. It's one of Cronenberg's rare minimalist works, in which the title character, wandering the streets and corners of his past, finds himself overcome by traumatic childhood memories. A psychological drama that treads a fine line between reality and illusion.
