Rhoma Acans, Leonor Teles's first short film, questions the traditions of the gypsy community, through the character of Joaquina, a 15-year-old girl who aspires to be a model. By the time the shoot began, Joaquina had already gone through a failed marriage, and served as a reference to the director, in documenting the customs of these people, as well as what remained and what changed, over time, within this community.
